Because of the North America Free Trade Agreement between Canada, United States and Mexico, the Chiapas Indians of Mexico are having to fight to grow corn in a traditional, small-scale way as they have been doing for a millennium. In Mexico, people die for the right to eat the produce of their own land, while in the North, we're happy to save a few pennies at the supermarket. The solution, a formula devised by the UPA (Québec Farm Producer's Union).
